Domaine Zind Humbrecht Pinot Blanc 2009

“…smells of fresh lemon, orange, and fennel. Bittersweet citrus zest and licorice impinge on a subtly creamy, lush palate, with sheer ripeness and high glycerin (despite the presence of only three grams residual sugar) lending a hint of sweetness to a soothing finish. While it might miss the mineral and floral dimensions of which this blend is capable, this 2009 is an infectiously delicious choice for the next several years.”

2010 Dinastía Vivanco Rioja Viura-Malvasia Vivanco

“An oaked blend of these two varieties. Fresh and lively fruit on the nose, with light green-tinged fruit. A nicely styled palate, fresh and gently textured, with good and vibrant fruit acids. Notes of capsicum and greengage. Vibrant, although with a softly fading finish. Good wine.”
